Kathleen and I live in the town of Pincher Creek, Alberta. Canada. Our town at 1150 m, nestles within the protection of a canyon carved out by the river. We are right on the junction of eight great Ecoregions;
bullet The Boreal Forest
bullet Aspen Parkland Ecoregion
bullet Foothills Parkland Ecoregion
bullet Montane Ecoregion
bullet Lower Sub-Alpine Ecoregion
bullet Upper Sub-Alpine Ecoregion
bullet Alpine Ecoregion
bulletPrairies

It is where the Prairies meet the Rocky Mountains. Among the many beautiful areas one can find the National Parks of Waterton Lakes, Jasper, and Banff.

Our aim in this project is to create a DataBase of spiders in this South and Southwestern part of Alberta.

Alberta,  Canada

The western boundary of our study area is the Alberta-British Columbia Continental Divide. This the Cordilleran Region (Eastern System), Southern Rocky Mountains. The southern boundary is the Canadian-USA Border, and as far north as Edmonton. ("Ecological Land Classification of Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta". by Achuff, McNeil, Coleman, Wallis, Wershler). This work I have made the bases of all our studies.
